An engineer and later cleric, Olumilua was elected governor of the old Ondo State (then including present-day Ekiti) on the SDP platform in 1991, promising infrastructure, education and rural development.
Assessment
The term was cut short by the November 1993 dissolution. Olumilua died in 2019.
