On 24 January 2022 the EFCC filed a 17-count charge alleging that Okorocha diverted public funds and properties worth about ₦2.9 billion while he was governor of Imo State.
Outcome / Status
On 14 July 2023 Justice Yusuf Halilu of an FCT High Court dismissed the charge as an abuse of judicial process, noting that the EFCC had filed a similar charge in the Federal High Court that had already been decided in his favour.
