Kogi began paying the ₦72,500 minimum wage from October 2025, among the earliest states to fully implement it, and the government says it has cleared 100% of the salary, pension and gratuity backlog inherited from the previous administration.

Promised a structured, multi-decade development plan — themed 'Shared Hope and Prosperity' — to stop project abandonment and guide Kogi from 2024 to 2056.

The administration unveiled and proposed legislative backing for a three-phase, 32-year development plan in December 2024. By Kogi's 34th anniversary in 2025, civil society groups were still urging government to fully institutionalise the plan, so legislative and administrative embedding remains incomplete.

Promised to unlock Kogi's mineral wealth (limestone, coal, tin, iron ore, bauxite and more) for revenue and youth employment.

The state secured 15 new mining licences and launched a mining/jewellery skills programme, with a stated target of 25,000 mining-value-chain jobs for youths. Licensing and pilot training have started, but large-scale job creation and community revenue-sharing are still early-stage.

Promised to fix Kogi's weak fiscal standing by paying down inherited bonds, bailout loans and bank facilities.

The state cleared ₦98.8 billion in inherited debt (bonds, a ₦50.8bn salary bailout, and Zenith/UBA/ECA-backed loans) within 15 months, and Fitch upgraded Kogi's credit rating from 'B-' to 'B' with a stable outlook, citing improved fiscal management.

Promised to rebuild Kogi's collapsed primary healthcare system and staff general hospitals adequately.

The administration commissioned over 80 revitalised primary healthcare centres across the state and reinforced general hospitals with additional personnel, a substantial expansion of frontline health infrastructure.

Promised to make Kogi's roads and rural communities safe from bandits and kidnap-for-ransom gangs.

The government says it has strengthened security architecture and intensified surveillance on border communities, but kidnappings persisted through 2025 and into 2026 along the Kabba–Obajana–Lokoja and Abuja–Lokoja corridors, including a mass abduction in Yagba West in October 2025.

Promised internal roads connecting farms and rural communities to markets, plus completion of long-abandoned trunk roads.

Internal/rural access road construction is ongoing, and the governor has publicly pledged completion of the long-stalled Odenyi–Oguma road, but full statewide rural-road coverage and completion of flagship abandoned roads are not yet verified.

Promised an inclusive, transparent administration that opens up state governance to public scrutiny.

The government reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and inclusiveness during Open Government Partnership (OGP) week, alongside continued publication of budget and appropriation documents.

Promised a fully staffed, productive civil service responsive to workers' welfare demands.

Organised labour has repeatedly commended salary and pension payment discipline, but as of May Day 2026 the Nigeria Labour Congress was still demanding reinstatement of 441 civil servants earlier cleared by the Civil Service Commission and strategic recruitment to plug manpower shortages.

Promised to deliver an airport for Kogi to boost trade, investment and connectivity for the state.

The administration formally handed the airport project over to contractors, moving it from planning into construction, but the project is not yet complete and no operational timeline has been independently verified.
