The problem
The old Anambra State — present-day Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi — entered the Second Republic barely a decade after the war, with damaged infrastructure, a big school-age population and limited industry.
What was done
The administration expanded education and founded a university of technology, but lost office at the disputed 1983 election and the term was ended by the military.
