₦167 million vehicle-procurement case (conviction set aside)

Allegation
The EFCC charged Ngilari with breaching the Adamawa State procurement law by awarding a contract for 25 vehicles, worth about ₦167 million, without following due process.
Outcome / Status
On 6 March 2017 a High Court in Yola sentenced him to five years without the option of a fine. In July 2017 the Court of Appeal in Yola set the conviction aside and discharged and acquitted him, holding that he was not a procurement entity as the trial court had found.
