Allegation
During his 2007 comeback bid on the DPP platform, Hashidu was arrested in March 2007 for allegedly inciting violence during his campaign.
Outcome / Status
His supporters stormed the magistrate's court in protest, freed him and injured the presiding judge. The case went nowhere afterward, and Hashidu withdrew from active politics.

No prosecution was carried through; the episode ended his political career rather than in a courtroom.
