Allegation
Haruna was among the 31 governors the EFCC said in September 2006 it was investigating, and in February 2007 the State Assembly served him an impeachment notice alleging gross misconduct.
Outcome / Status
Both processes lapsed as his term ended; no charge was brought to trial and the impeachment was not carried through.

Immunity ran out with the term and neither matter was pursued afterward.
