A Contract and Consultancy Review Committee (CCRC) set up by the incoming Fayemi administration examined about 89 projects awarded between May 2007 and October 2010 under Segun Oni, and found contractors routinely paid well beyond the work actually executed — on the Ado-Iworoko-Ifaki road dualisation alone, a contractor paid 69% of the contract sum (₦5.12bn) had completed only about 30% of the job, an overpayment of roughly ₦2.9bn. Several other road contracts (Emure-Supare, Igede-Ilawe, Ipole-Iloro-Ogotun) were also found substantially paid but incomplete.

The CCRC's report was published as an advertorial and cited in the press in mid-2011, but no resolving source confirms any recovery of the overpaid sums or prosecution arising from the committee's findings.

An audit of the Ekiti State Micro-Credit Agency's three years to 31 December 2009, commissioned by the incoming Fayemi government, found that of a ₦1.8bn micro-credit scheme, about ₦1.765bn ended up with former political office-holders and their associates who had served as "guarantors" for fictitious beneficiaries — including Oni himself, his running mate, a sitting senator and several other officials, in sums ranging from roughly ₦1m to ₦25m, mostly unrepaid.

The Fayemi administration published the audit and named those implicated in November 2010, but no resolving source shows any prosecution or recovery following from it.
