An Oxford-trained economist and former federal permanent secretary, 'Okwadike' Ezeife was elected on the SDP platform in 1991 promising disciplined administration, industry and rural development.
Assessment
The term was cut short after about 22 months by the November 1993 dissolution. He later served as political adviser to President Obasanjo and was a prominent Igbo elder statesman until his death in 2023.
