The problem
Nasarawa, carved from Plateau State in 1996, entered the Fourth Republic with minimal higher education, infrastructure or administrative machinery of its own.
What was done
The administration built the state university and some services, but Nasarawa remained among the poorest, most allocation-dependent states and the term ended with a major EFCC allegation against the governor.
